The time has come for thesis preparation which is basically going to entail intense debates, readings, research, field work ( somewhat virtual in our case) and the actual writing – I cant even fathom how many drafts that’s going to take and so forth. Oh wait, did I share that it took us about two months and 50 emails back and forth till we got the nod of approval from our anal but sweet as hell supervisor. When we received the final confirmation from the university’s ethics committee (on our topic), we basically were on seventh heaven and then one of us had to say – hey, this is only the beginning leh!

I’ve been saying ‘we’ and ‘us’ that’s because I am in the right frame of mind to not do it alone, specially when I am toggling work and whatnot, but really because W and I – just  get each other – we’ve been group mates since day 1 and we ousted the rest (or vice versa heh). His engineer-trained brain gets my left brain randomness and need for non-restrictive expansive creativity and flow of opinions. Helps that we’re both anal in our own ways and since we agreed that sleep is vital and churning out 50,000 words together – will ensure we get the sleep and carry out our day job decently.
