This week’s highlights are two separate birthday celebrations for two dearest human beings in my life.
For L’s, we decided to head out for a mid-week drink and dinner at Atlas. S and I got there early and started on the cheeseboard and wine. Can never go wrong with that :).
I was reflecting on my friendships with these girls, good 13 years and counting. We’ve drifted apart, carved out our life’s niche, got married/gave birth, found other friends, dealt with unnerving emotional blockages – that has eased over the years and strengthened the bond.
S puts it across rather nonchalantly with that spruce of reality and wisdom- you don’t really need to force it, those that want to stick around will and those are the blessings in life, one should always be grateful for.
Dearest L, May you always be envelop in HIS love and grace. May you receive all that your heart desires and more. Have a rocking year. Blessed Birthday!

Next up is E, oh how our friendship has grown and evolve into this unshakeable fam-ship. She was eager to try Violet Oon at National Gallery; our selections that night didn’t disappoint but man, the service. I can’t recall the Bukit Timah branch being that bad. Over- superficial and zealous attendants tends to cramp my (dining) space and snobbish attitude from some of their key personnels (let’s not go into names) was an utter turn-off. Nonetheless, my kookie partner in crime and I lapped it up by making our own jokes and left there with happy bellies.
Dearest E, you’d know how important and special you are to me, so will cut out the mushy and say – let the new year bring you enlightenment of what your heart, soul and mind seeks. Never forget how loved you are!
