Oh, how true the above rings to to my heart and ears.
It was such a joy to have “Auntie” M visit me with her precious son, Sam this weekend. M and I met at college in Perth, the friendship has evolved over the years and one of those that you can place you hands on heart and say – 20, 30, 40 years down the road, we’ll still be able to sit down for coffee and talk to the cows come home.
M – needed some time away being her own person (full-time SAHM) and we both needed sometime being reminded not much has changed in the past 14 or 15 years, save for some wrinkles here and there (!) and extra inches around the waistline (yes, am running tonight).
And yes, not much has really changed. We’ve just upped the game from our bubble tea and carousel shopping days – alrighty, promise that I’ll work on upping my own game to doing the rounds of mothercare and motherworks with you. No promises, though!
