Two Sundays back, the family and I headed off to the Barrage for a mid- afternoon picnic. We bought along home-cooked food and all those picnic-worthy munchies for us to nibble on as we soaked up each others’ wondrous presence (yes, I do love this bunch of family very much ..can’t say for the others:).
There was a slight overcast and threatening rain showers but clearly that didn’t dampen our mood or other picnic- goers that kept on streaming in. I was particularly mesmerize by the array of colorful kites serenading us with a slow dance up, up and above. The little things in life, if seek are those that bring the purest of joy to the heart. Don’t you agree?
May till now – (let’s not jinx up the month of June, Jasmine) is going down as one of the darkest period of 2015 for me. No exaggeration at the least. But I am grateful, as we all should be – of the close network of support, the immense space and warmth that I am enveloped with on a daily basis, and the strong faith within knowing that I will get through all the highs and lows of life with a heart that has known not only pain but the simplicity of happiness, when all has passed.
