The remaining two days of our Taiwan trip was spent in Taipei, which needs no introduction as between us we have been there countless times for work, family and now, friends that are base there.
The only agenda in Taipei was to eat, drink , shop and be merry. And boy, did we do that! Our Taiwan peeps are a bunch of crazy folks and I know for sure we’re going to have a weekend in Taipei or Shanghai to eat and drink to our heart’s content next year!
It was nice to have some pockets of time alone, where I roamed about Xinyi and Ximending on my own doing some shopping, having lunch, people watching over cupcake and tea, soaking up the area that never fails to unravel bittersweet memories from within. I like the present me roaming about Taipei, I’ve come a long way and is a changed person from the me – few years back roaming in Taipei – it was kinda like a full circle for me this trip. A self- audit on my growth, maturity and development. Passed, of course hur hur!
And, that’s a wrap on my first non-work related holiday in 2013, which I wholeheartedly and thoroughly enjoyed.
