[I had this post saved in draft and was meaning to complete it but… oh well better late than never right?]

Firstly, wishing everyone a prosperous snake year filled with good health, abundance of happiness, good thoughts, togetherness and love. It’s been a good start to the lunar year filled with precious time spent with family and friends, and of course packing on a few pounds which I’m sure I’ll shed when I head to Manila for 2 weeks in early March.

The best part of this CNY was welcoming back my dearest Gi from New York, the girl had a whirlwind trip back packed with activities with her extended family and ME! I failed miserably in convincing her to move back to SG, but I’m not giving up. We’re planning for me to head out to visit NY ( it’s been way to long!) later part of this year to help her settle into her new apartment – on the agenda is combing through vintage/thrift shops within Brooklyn, Soho, Little Italy and upstate NY on finding the loveliest furniture for her humble abode. The girl is mad crazy on anything vintage, whimsical and totally non- matchy! So fingers crossed this little plan of ours materialise this year. Oh, how I miss having her around to share the ups, downs and listen to my daily rambles (whatsapp will do for now:).

Without a doubt, returning back to work last week was a rude awakening from the week of merry-making, eating without a care and not giving two hoots to work. And, as we all know  merrymaking/eatinglikeapig/latenights good things do come to an end …to pave way for MUCH BETTER stuff (we all need something good to look forward too, right?), so am all ready to pull up my socks and get cracking into the snake year. Got my jade pendant on as I’ve been told, monkeys should wear jade in the snake year to ensure everything you encounter is smooth-sailing. No harm in believing 🙂 .

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Last Day of CNY, Happy Lunar 15th, Happy 元宵节 to all those celebrating and come Monday (if you’ve slacked in the last 15 days of CNY...like me *head hanging down*), shall get back to my normal routine with more refreshed vigour and zest, snapping on the diet mode and loose the 3 kg that I’ve gained and to start mapping out the *good* changes and plans that I want to roll out for myself in the snake year.

Have a great Snake year, y’all!
