The weather was beautiful in Tokyo today. Clear blue skies with low winds, albeit chilly but just nice for me.

Took a two-hour stroll around Shinjuku today after a heavy lunch, wasn’t keen on going away from the vicinity or taking the metro today. Just not up for shopping or doing any form of touristy stuff. Done that the last round and Tokyo doesn’t excite me. I like the outskirts. Oh how I wish I have time on hand for a 2-3 hour train ride out of this area.

Nor was I up for any company – all I wanted was some time alone, to roam the place and lose myself in my own thoughts as I ponder on some of the changes coming my way. And of course to shake away the looming melancholic and lethargic thoughts so that I’m all ready to ‘ roll with the punch’ – and meet the objective of this work trip.

And, hurry home thereafter – but for now, I shall relish the quality time that I have with myself on this trip.
