We had our bi-monthly family gathering last night at our humble abode.
There was a good 18 of us gathered around the extended dining table, savouring all the wonderful home-cooked goodness prepared by Daddy and Auntie. There was at least 6 rounds of snow crabs being devoured by the seafood lovers – once a platter was clear, Dad would promptly hover over the next batch awaiting to be steamed on the spot.
The family was very compromising towards my dietary habit – there was green mango salad, sauteed vegetables and vegetable bee hoon for me. Very loved!
The dinner coincided with a cousin’s birthday, and what’s a birthday without cake, loud choruses of happy birthday sang by all (from a 3 to 70 year old) – and popping few more bottles of wine and whiskey. My family is awesome hur hur.
