Last Saturday we headed to the newly minted Gardens by the Bay for the Corrine May concert at The Meadow. The rain showers earlier on in the day paved way for less humidity in the air; however ponchos were still given out by the concert attendants upon entrance. Conversely, it was for the threatening evening rain or for concert-goers to lay out on the ground as picnic mat, more for the latter I must say.

The backdrop of Marina Bay Sands, the NDP rehearsal and fireworks displayed was such a lovely (free) exhibition that uplifted the atmosphere and Corrine May’s voice was equally intoxicating on this particular evening.

I must admit it was my first outdoor concert and pretty swell experience. I’m definitely on the look-out for more concerts at The Meadow – can’t find a better way to spend Saturday evenings, if only we could do with less of SG’s humidity (excuse my sweat-laden fringe)- nah, wait…it’s just me the sweat bucket 🙂
Leaving you with one of my favorite Corrine May song,
