The night before the ‘big’ meeting, the colleague-friend drove us up to ‘Cat Empty’ for tea and dinner. ‘Cat Empty’ or 貓空 is one of the well-known places in Taipei to savour tea and immerse in the night scenery of Taipei City.

The area is known for producing tea, particularly Tieguanyin, hence the abundance of tea houses serving a wide range of their tea produce and local delicacies. Find any tea house in the area on a cloudless day and you’ll be greeted with breathtaking view, couple with a nice brew and throw in a good read. Heavenly. I can spend hours there! (exactly what I did few years back…good times).

Unfortunately, thunderstorms were at bay when we got there, so there wasn’t much of a view for me to soak in except for a quiet tea house, hearty food, light brew and loads of laughter.
