The boss has been raving about Tempat Senang for the longest time now and was more than willing to grant my wish of being a pampered princess on a weekday. To cut the story short, I was not able to go on the scheduled weekday nor make full use of Tempat Senang’s weekday promotion ( 6 treatments of your choice at SGD 160++) but in place was a half-day session on Saturday with the gf.
60 mins on the ferry and 10 mins in the car upon arrival at Sekupang, you’ll be greeted with warm smiles and lush surrounding – basically transporting you into a sanctuary of nature, peace, and calmness. The exact ingredients that every city dwellers need for their soul, body and mind. Indeed, what the gf and I were seeking for.
Our half-day session (3 hrs) included 3 treatments of our choice – I opt for the Balinese massage, coffee & rice scrub and avocado hair treatment. You can view the spa menu /selections on their website. The therapist was very attentive and catered well to my request of exerting stronger pressure on those achy leg muscles and knots in the shoulder. My favorite treatment was hands down the avocado hair treatment, where a head & scalp massage sent me into a good 45 mins snooze. It was utterly relaxing and all those built- up tension seemed to have melted away on its own, so much so, that I’m on a look-out for a good hair spa place here in Singapore that will keep my locks looking good and relieve my head and neck tension. If you know of any recommendations, please send it my way!
The indulgence continued right on from body treatments to our taste buds. We decided to hang around the resort instead of heading to Mega Mall for some dearly missed A&W and root beer floats, not a bad decision at all!
The Nasi Campur for 2 had a good selection of meat, seafood and veggies (gado gado) for us to savour, with lush greenery as our backdrop and the sweet, moist smell of after- rain enveloping us.
It was a Saturday filled with goodness, relaxation and nary a care to the world and everything in-between. We can all do more with such days in our lives, right?
