In a few hour’s time, 2012 will make it’s grand entrance.
I contemplated on writing about 2011 and all of it’s wonderful encounters, challenges, pain and discovery but decide against it, for the sole reason that I’m just not good in verbalizing and imprinting it all down. But no fret on my part, as it’s part of the memory bank now and cherished deep within – all those wonderful experiences, encounters, tears and laughter. I look forward to having more of you, each and everyone of you, next year 🙂
I know many of us will be conjuring 2012 goals and achievements, whilst looking back at the year passed but what I’ve come to firmly believe over the past few years is how equally important is to thank ourselves- wholeheartedly and regardless of the outcome, because we did our best. So before I decide on my 2012 goals, I would like to thank myself for 2011;
- Thank you for crossing the boundaries and accepting new challenges at work
- Thank you for accepting that you do have an issue at work and these issues stem from no one else but yourself
- Thank you for accepting the issues from “within” you and taking that leap of faith and honesty to face it
- Thank you for embracing “loneliness“
- Thank you for making your parents happy and proud of you
- Thank you for the opening your heart and trusting those very special group of people
- Thank you for trying to establish an exercise regime, despite still having a long way to go
- Thank you for the emotional growth and using it to establish wonderful perspectives of the occurrences in your life
- Thank you for being you, and learning to love this you
Will you also take a step back and thank yourself today, too? I’m sure the ‘you’ will appreciate the recognition for how far you’ve come in 2011.

The whole house is brimming with wonderful aroma for tonight’s dinner- back to an Asian menu tonight for NYE’s gathering; on the list is prawn noodle, roast duck, fried seafood pockets, and many other home-cooked goodness that Chef Phua is going to whip up to ensure we’re all well-fed into 2012.
Here’s a sneak peak at the old-school cake he made from scratch for the boys tonight;
Wishing all of you a wonderful evening and send-off for 2011 and may 2012 bring you nothing but life’s greatest blessing, grace and discovery.
Much love.
