The new house renos is commencing soon; there’s been some arguments on the design and whatnot but simplist and minimal rules.

Dad loves one of the photo I took of the Tian Tan Buddha in Hong Kong and is hoping he finds an artist here who’ll adapt it accordingly. He has a million of ideas and it’s rather hard to catch up with him. But I’m glad, the reno is keeping him busy.

All I need to do is visualize the million ideas he springs on me every waking minute.second.hour.

Dad: take away the lotus, the emphasis of the painting needs to be on Buddha’s face and palm. I want it to be painted in a shimmery gold or bronze colour, let me think further on this. The painting will go on the wall near the staircase, and we’ll have that side of the wall painted orange.

Me: Orange? How many freaking colours do you want the whole house to have? Daddy, our new place isn’t huge you know 🙂

Gotta love my old man!
