I’ve come to accept my melancholic mood swings and bouts of happiness that comes on like a whirlwind and leaves just as fast. Trust me, am trying to find the balance and not drive the people around me (including myself) crazy.
The root of the problem? I got a clear idea but it needs time and some strategizing before I can go for the hit. And, with year end coming and the impending house move. I’m just gonna be good and lay very low till things simmer down.
Last week was good – things on the work-front was manageable and outside of work activities made the week bright and cheery.
Wed – met up with the gf for an hr’s foot massage and plonked ourselves down at Oriole’s for beer and light dinner. The conversation was heavy but thought-provoking and left me filling very blessed that I have S on this journey of life with me. We’ll find our way somehow…in the meantime, more mid-week massages and beer please!
Thurs – dinner with Dad at Othello’s . We haven’t done a Dad and Daughter date for sometime now and with Mum busy with overseas guests, it was the perfect time for us to chill and chat away over a can of beer each and some yummy food. Nothing beats time with Daddy – he puts things in perspective and will always be my best friend and most loyal and critical fan.
Fri- Some quiet pampering of facial and massage- and of course, heading home to curl up with a good book and glass of wine.
Sat – Theresa’s wedding. We’ve known each other for 8 years now and has not been a rosy ride for us both, especially in the last 3 years but …despite all that, deep down am pretty sure we’re in each other’s thoughts and heart. And, it shall be that way 🙂
I was thrilled to be there on her big day….her smile says it all. Congrats Kin Mun and Theresa! Mucho Love!
Can’t wait for your big day, Jayne! See you girlies for a Xmas dinner – let’s arrange soon.
(Girls, I’m missing Perth badly …let’s aim to do a girlie trip back there, k?!)
Sun- Grandma’s 100th day death anniversary. The pain is still evident but we know she’s in a beautiful place free of pain and suffering. We miss you and will always carry you in our hearts, Ah Ma.
The latter half of the day was spent chilling out with the kindle and MacD, nothing beats those two on rainy afternoon. Come evening, the fogies, contractors and I trooped down to look at the new place …renovations starting soon!
Hope you had a good week past – and a better week to come. Remember, it’s always better to get through the day on a happy note than sad. Don’t sweat over the small stuff -note to self as well!
