So, the fogies and colleagues beckons me to try out the new route to work (with the opening of the new circle line), sweeping across a strong surge of hestiance and unwillingness from my end – clearly moving away from the same route that I’ve come to love for the past three years was becoming harder than I thought.
Come to think of it, it was a total drag when I first embarked on this journey three years back, oh how people change! I’ve come to like waking up early or spending longer than usual on the ride to work…it went beyond getting to work for me, it was good o’l me-time in the morning – just me, my music and whatever book/mag that caught my fancy. No denying, I’m a creature of habit.
Anyways, took the plunge today ..it took me a total of 45 mins to get to work – with no major human traffic or jams along the way. Alrite for the sake of extra snooze time, I shall give this new route a go ….for the next few days.
It’s always nice to get away from your comfort zone and introduce some change into your daily routine right?
