The declaration of love, the solemn but beautiful verses read out by Uncle Richard, the exchange of vows (personalized) , Sher’s thank you speech and many more – tugged at my heartstrings and tears were uncontrollable.
One very special moment was during the tea ceremony with Leon’s side of the family – I saw Sher tear up when she was offering tea to Uncle William (I found out his name from her Sis after the ceremony) and wondered what prompt the tears and concluded to myself this is probably one of the family members that was influential in Leon’s growing up years. Her sister confirmed my conclusion latter on in the car back to Sher’s parent’s place. Being the emotional and sentiment soul that I am, somehow I knew (and felt) the meaningful reasons behind the tears….tears of gratitude for Uncle William. Sher, you’re such a softie but one heck of a softie with a very big, giving heart.
Cozy, beautiful, memorable night for the newlyweds and all those that had the honor to be part of this wonderful occasion. The couple has come a long way and every inch and bits of the wedding is a strong testimonial of what they’ve achieved in the past 11 years as a couple and what they’re capable of achieving as husband and wife.
Thank you for letting me bask in your love and share your big day with you, Sher – shall fondly keep the beautiful memories within my treasured chest of memories and when we’re old and toothless, we shall reminisce your big day hehe.
Once again, Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Chan!
* Apologies if I didn’t do a good job as the emcee
* Can’t wait to see the pictures of the whole event
