Health updates from Sina Weibo is a daily read for the journey to work. This was one of the updates on my weibo feed this morning; thought I do a quick (and rough translation) summary to share with all of you, some of the bodily occurrences at night and how such little “knowledge” can improve your health!
9pm-11 pm: is the period of which the immune system is detoxifying. Good time to be winding down, listening to music and just being all chilled-out from the hustle and bustle of the day’s activities
11pm – 1 am: is the period for which the liver is detoxifying . Most effective when you’re dreaming away in slumberland. So, get you’re PJs on and force crawl yourself into bed by 11pm!
12am- 4am: make sure you’re asleep and don’t burn the midnight oil during this period to allow for the following (1) gall bladder detoxifiying and (2) keeping the nervous system and spinal marrow healthy
3am-5am: is the period for which the lung is detoxifying
5am-7am: is the period for which the colon is undergoing detoxification; tad bit early but really good to get some BIG business done during this period
7am-9am: is the period for which nutrients is absorbed by the small intestine, which calls for a hearty, healthy breakfast to kick-start your day!
Hmm, sleep by 11 pm..oh dear, rather difficult feat for moi.
