The consumption and preparation of Chinese medicine in the recent years has evolve to suit the modern lifestyle. Nonetheless, the older generations will still stand by the ‘brewing the herbs in a claypot over high heat’ method being the most effective. For my case, I tend to select the consumption method according to the indications and ingredients use.

For Siwu Tang, I opt to go for the extract powder – mix with hot water and there you have a nice brew to have in the evening, in place of tea (in my case). The quirky me will say – if you gotta take Chinese nourishment, that’s somewhat bitter…do so with nice crockery. On a side note, the teacup below is strictly for Chinese medicine brew, and yes, I do have different teacups and mugs for different usage.

Benefits of Siwu Tang: Tonifies the blood, aid in blood circulation and regulates the liver.
Recommended for the following symptoms: insomnia, palpitations, dizziness, stiff muscles, cold hands/feet and irregular menstruation.
