J’s Baby Talk

Let’s give my HK entries a rest and talk (or gush in my case) about my favourite little person in this world!

Visited Ahma and Baby J the other night, bringing along some of the stuff I got them from HK. Three weeks since I last saw J and gosh the growth spurt – physically and verbally, was quite a sight to witness I must say. They grow up way too FAST!

At 2.5 yo, J is rather slow in the talking department, but trust me this kid sure knows how to make known his wants and unhappiness ( I’m sure this is applicable to all kids) – the ruckus he creates is enough to bring out all the different color-coded canes the Grandpa keeps around the house. Imagine the sort of stuff that will come out of his mouth when he does start stringing sentences (and let’s not forget the mischief too) !

Conversations between Baby J and YiYi (which is me):

Yi Yi: *stretching out my hands* Javan, come let yiyi carry
Javan : Yi Yi, fly-fly ok? (reads: he wants me to swing him around)

Yi Yi: Javan, who’s tv is that? (new TV in the corner of the room)
Javan: Jiu Jiu (Uncle) buy

Yi Yi: Javan, want french fries?
Javan: Chili ( reads: he wants to dip his fries with chili sauce heh)

Conversation we had when Mum and I were heading home;

Great Aunt: Be good boy, ok? Po Po (short for yipo), going home
Javan: *snuggles up to her* I go?

Aww, he’s never said that to us in the past. Mum nicely explained to him why he couldn’t follow, of which was followed by cries, loud screams and some “break dancing” on the floor.

And, guess who had to make an entrance – his Mum and the cane heh.
