It was a long day, slightly battered by an email that came in this morning – told myself that I had to snap out of it in order to get on with the day and focus on the different individuals I had to meet today. Of course, a promise of drinks tonight was a great motivator to get through the day.

We had our heart set on the rooftop bar within the hotel – Red Sky Bar at Centara, supposedly one of the newest rooftop bar providing a 360 degree panoramic view of Bangkok. I’ve heard mixed reviews of the place and local friends have told me they much prefer Vertigo or Sirocco. However, not having any form of comparison and we were only there for drinks, I found the place to be ok, staff were friendly and tended to all our needs. Only setback it was pretty dark and being the goon that I am, it was all good that I didn’t fall flat on my face whilst moving around taking pics from the various corners.

We stayed for 45 mins , enjoying the night breeze and our glass of wine and martini. There was an unspoken consensus in having spaces of silence, as we sink back in the chair and relish our last night in Bangkok.
