The laptop was left in the office this weekend, subconsciously it left me with a ‘relax’ mode …and work was truly the last thing on my mind this weekend.

Had a great time shopping for shoes yesterday with Bestie- we combed the whole of vivo only to end up with a pair of wedges from Martina Pink at Tangs, ultra comfy. I’m eye-ing a pair of their flats 🙂

Sunday was spent keeping Mum company in the shop, whilst I wait for my mani and pedi appt – call me outdated but it was the first time I had a gel manicure done.

So what’s gel manicure for those in the same ‘outdated’ boat as me – it’s the use of a gel to bind the synthetic fingernails to the natural nails, and cured under an UV light.  After base time, colour ( x2), non soak coat and two mins  (or more, wasn’t counting) under the UV light; my nails were completely dry and able to withstand any form of rummaging around for my wallet/mobile and even got down to some heavy-duty work at the shop!

Now let’s hope it does last three weeks or more – my bet is on two weeks 🙂
